Rockwool seed starting cubes 1 in size

Data updated 2026-10-30

This set includes 100 small rockwool cubes, each measuring 1 inch. This smaller size is ideal for high-volume seed starting and fits well in vertical tower gardens or aeroponic inserts. The dense pack ensures you have plenty of media for multiple planting cycles or large-scale propagation projects.

The fibers in these cubes are designed to wick moisture upward, keeping the seed or cutting hydrated while allowing oxygen to reach the roots. This helps prevent damping off and encourages faster germination. Because they are soilless, they are very clean to work with and do not clog fine sprayers in aeroponic setups.

These listings offer a versatile medium that can be used for everything from herbs to flowers. Once the roots have grown through the bottom of the 1 inch cube, the entire unit can be transplanted into a larger container or a hydroponic system. This minimizes transplant shock and keeps the root ball intact during the move.
